The night before Christmas

This was Camden's first experience with Papa reading to the grandkids the story of The Night before Christmas.  It will be several more years until they all realize that Papa skips pages because there is so much discussion per page on each picture.

Cookies for Santa

Auntie wanted to make cookies with the kids to leave out for Santa.  I thought leaving out a bottle of brandy would be more appropriate knowing how many gifts were under the tree already, but it was cookies that was decided upon.  Camden was sooo involved with the cookie cutters, can't you tell by his face?

Naughty or nice?

This is Santa's elf that stops by our house (and has for decades!) and checks up on any little boys or girls that are around.  Are they behaving?  Are they playing nicely?  Are they eating their broccoli?  Are they picking up their toys?  The elf moves around the house as if by magic and the little ones look for it every day.  This is Camden's first experience with the Christmas elf and by the look on his face....this is one tough customer!

Little one didn't know what the heck this Nutcracker was!  All he wanted to do was taste it....

When these three get together on the floor anything can happen.  But mostly there are smiles and giggles all around.

Many of you won't understand the title reference.  But that's ok.  It's my blog and I do.  LOL.  Little Camden had his 9 month check up and he weighs a whopping 17 pounds.  Darn that teething.....

Swimmer vs. crawler

When Camden gets put onto his tummy, most of the time he attempts to crawl but there are moments when this position reminds him of his swimming lessons.  He starts kicking his feet like he was in the water!

Tuckered out

This was a big day for a little boy and when we started to leave the tree cutting area, he fell right asleep.  Mommy held on to him for a few minutes and then pitched him into his car seat for the hour ride home....

Twice the fun

Camden got to spend time with BOTH of his Papas this past weekend.  It doesn't happen often because one of his Papas lives way out in Wyoming.  Way out.

The whole family went to chop down Christmas trees this past weekend.  Camden had a great time until I touched his nose with snow.  His bottom lip quivered and went out a bit.  He didn't like the cold actually touching him....

On the island of misfit toys...

Seriously...this tv special came out when I was a kid...I'm surprised that the film reel hasn't disintegrated yet!  But Camden seems to be enjoying a tv program....Did the little guy ever get to be a dentist?  With the abominable snowman?  Have a holly jolly Christmas......

Camden's first experience with the fat man in the red suit.  Decision's still out on whether or not they'll be BFF's....

An offering to the basketball gods....

Three generations

Yes, it really is three generations but if you know the back story here and the locale, it takes on a whole new meaning.  The three of them are in the Reno High School gym.  The gym where Camden's great grandfather was the Varsity Boys basketball coach for many, many years.  Papa played and coached here as well.  Mama played here and took home the state championship for girls in 2001.  And now Camden has been introduced to his very first basketball game.  He has no choice but to follow in his predecessor's footsteps.....

Smile BIG

Trying to take a picture of these two with both of them looking at the camera and smiling took a huge crew behind me...talking, pointing, holding toys, you name it.  Camden went along for the ride and Sammy thought we were all nuts.

I like Costco carts better

Camden's cousin, Sammy, decided to take him grocery shopping.  I guess he gets to hold all the groceries, hmm?

Oh yeah, PUMPKIN PIE!

Don't let that little innocent face fool you, folks.  This little boy with 4.5 teeth has turned into an eating machine!  Looks like that bite of pumpkin pie behind him has his name written all over it!

He's so very excited about this.....

Camden and his Mommy and Daddy flew off to Costa Rica yesterday for the upcoming holiday weekend.  They have promised to send me photos to update this blog with all his current activities.  We'll see.  This is Camden right before they boarded their plan in Dallas.  Yeehaw!

Enjoying the Fall

Mommy and Daddy went on a fall hike with Camden a few days ago.  It looks like they all enjoyed it!

Let's go shopping

Mommy went on a shopping expedition for Camden and winter clothes.  They are all really cute and will be great for wintertime.  You'll be seeing more of them.  However, today, it's calling for 72 degrees.  Not quite winter yet.

Trick or Treat

The cousins went trick or treating together at a local mall.  The only two people smiling in the photo are the Mommies.  Why?  Because they will have to go through all the candy and make sure that it's all ok.  wink wink.

The fight between Google and Blogger continues.  Apparently a new Google release is not working quite the way they planned.  I'll keep trying.
