Hold on!

Camden got to swing on his cousin's new play set.  He hated it, can't you tell?

Oh, these TWO!!

Once upon a time, a young woman met a young man, fell in love and got married.  In a short time, they got pregnant and had a beautiful baby girl.  This baby girl had one Auntie on her Daddy's side and one Uncle on her Mommy's side.  Now this Auntie fell head over heals in love with her brand new niece.  So much so, that she would come over to the baby's grandparent's house when the baby was there just to hold her.  Wait, I take that back.  If the baby was sleeping, the Auntie would go pick up the baby just to hold her.  Waking the baby up.  Many times.  Even though the grandmother cautioned her daughter not to do this, she did it anyway.  That's how much she loved her niece.  Enough to wake her up from her naps ALL THE TIME.

Fast forward to present day.  That Auntie met, fell in love with, and married as well.  She in turn had a beautiful baby boy.  This baby boy has many Aunts and Uncles but only one set live in the area.  Guess who?

These two Aunties/Mommies are currently trying to outwit, out maneuver, and OUT SUGAR the other one.  Here is the first Auntie giving her nephew fingerfulls of cream cheese frosting...

...while in the other room, this Auntie is giving her niece a Snickers bar.  Go figure.

Mmmmm....Chocolate eggs

Here Camden decides that he wants to try a Cadbury egg for the very first time.
Here is where the Cadbury egg gets taken away because he's eating the foil wrapping.  Poor Camden!

The beginning

Because last year at Easter time, Camden was only a few months old, he didn't partake in the egg hunting festivities.  This year is another matter.   He was brought to the location near the egg.  Once he spied it, he grabbed it.  It made noise when he shook it.  That's because there were two M&M's in each one.  Mommy said that he couldn't have those.  Auntie gave some to him anyway.

These boots are made for walkin'

Papa put little Camden in his work boots.  Camden had such great balance in them!

A little beefcake for your Friday afternoon...

Before I got him entirely dressed, I thought you should see this manly little thing!

It's over due

Sweetie?  I think it's time that you get your own boy cell phone and stop playing with the Disney Princess phone.  I'm on it.

Aerial View

Yes, Camden has playmates and scads of toys to play with.  I'm not usually this lucky to get all three of them together, sitting and playing like this.

Put a cork in it!

Sometimes, have you ever been around someone who just will not be quiet?  Camden knows what to do!

My precious grandson

This is a little layout I did using colors right from Camden's eyes, hair, and skin.

Home again, home again

I gave him the crayons and some paper and let him go to town.  He preferred to taste the crayons first!

Look at that one over there...

These two are on the beach looking at the babes.  Literally.  Babe's being Olivia and Samantha.

The Shiek

You can't tell it very well from this photo but Camden's hat has a flap that goes down to his back.  It covers up the back of his neck.  He'll never be a REDNECK!

Hola!

The wonders of technology and Steve Job's Ipad.  They look all happy here but little guy had an upset tummy today.  Didn't feel at all well.  After a little stomach emptying, he's better now.  And all smiles!

He's paying attention

I handed Camden this little hair band that had letters spelling out CANDY or JELLY that I purchased for his cousin, Samantha.  Please note, I handed it to him.  I didn't put it on his head, he did that all by himself. He's paying attention to his Mommy when she gets ready in the morning and copying what she does.  I don't know who's going to break the news to him that he doesn't get to wear it.

Today, the family arrived in Mexico.  It's now up to Mommy and Daddy to post photos on their vacation.  Can't wait to see them!

Cable guy

I honestly do not know how he managed to grab the tv cable.  With it, he tried plugging it into the safe.  He's up to something, I just haven't figured it out yet.

Time for a nap

This is what happens in the late afternoon close to nap time.  Face plants.

I bet you it isn't

Little guy here is putting on weight faster and faster.  He showed me his belly and made me laugh.  You don't think it's his new found love of Capn Crunch, do you?

Small things come in good packages

He enjoyed playing with this box that Mommy wanted to keep and use for something other than hide and seek.

Stupid prices

The price for fuel these days is downright stupid.

Let alone for Flex Fuel.  Hybrid, schmibrid.

Having problems?

There have been a few, ok, two reported problems viewing the new masthead of little Camden.  It appears and within a few seconds goes to black.  Anyone else having this happen to them?

My little safe cracker

Don't let this innocent look fool you.  I found a stethoscope and some files in his diaper bag.

What goes up must come down

What goes up, must come down from Lorna King on Vimeo.

With a day to ourselves, Camden had no restrictions on the stairway.  Up he went many, many, many....many times.  And each time we practiced coming back down the stairs until....until he did it himself.  He was so very proud because there was clapped and yelling and screaming and cake and balloons and a parade.  He is number two to be taught stair way aerobics.  Of course, I've worn through the material of my jeans at the knees...

It was bound to happen sooner or later.

This looks like a photo of Camden clapping his hands.  It is!  However, what's happening here is that Mommy asked him to clap.  He has not only learned to clap and to wave at you, but he has learned words and accompanying gestures.  He also understands the word, "No."  Go figure.  But while he's at this early stage of learning words and gestures, it might be a good idea not to be in the truck with Uncle Tippy during rush hour.  Talk about words and gestures!
