All boy

Camden is only 17 months old but is acting more like a two year old.  He is into everything.  His natural curiosity is amazing.  If there is dirt around, he will find it.  And throw it.  If there is water around, he will find it and splash in it (or in the case of the dog's water dish, splash his sippy cup in it.)  But his favorite thing is finding a ball.  He can throw his ball until the cows come home!

Swing! Wheeee!!!

Over the past weekend, Daddy and Papa built Camden a swing set.  He loves it!

And there's plenty of swing seats for the cousins!

First hair cut

Last week Mama made an appointment to have Camden's very first haircut.  It was getting a little long.  Ok, it was a mullet.  But it was a baby mullet on the sweetest little face!  Miss Kate trimmed him up and he was so good sitting on Mama's lap; he didn't fuss at all.

Mama kept him happy with eating little gummy goodies.  Now he looks older with his hair cut.  Not so much a cuddly wuddly baby but a little boy with all the little boy preciousness about him.

THE BEST SNACK!

Not only does he share his Mama and Daddy's love for sweets, he loves salty as well.  I made the mistake purchase of a bag of Mini Rice Cakes, Kettle Corn.  Yummy.  Then I bought Ranch flavored...then, the worst of them all...Sour Cream and Onion.  He can't get enough of these things!
Do you have any idea the smell of his breath when he's done?  In a one year old it's like coyote breath.

Snooze you lose

If his cousin, Sammy, knew that he had in his HANDS her Princess Ariel figurine, the fur would fly!!

Belly belly belly!

Camden was walking around strutting his stuff, showing off his big belly when I laid him down to take a look at it.  Sammy came over and decided she needed to touch it as well.

Happy birthday Papa!

Time for a new hat

Now that our summer has started, I needed a nice all around hat for his little head, face, and ears.  This one should do the trick for the whole summer including vacations!

Man about town

First day back at Mimi and Papa's house, Camden came dressed to the nines.  What else could I do but take him shopping?  He looked so cute to me!

I'm bored.

He looks like enjoys that drive to Vegas almost as much as I do!

Whirlygig

I always loved whirlygigs when I was little.  I bought this one last year and stuck it in a pot outside.  The kids now have paid attention to it.  Camden carried this around for about an hour, holding it up for the wind to spin it.

Fluffy toy

When Mama first found out that she was pregnant, she started going to baby stores and looking and dreaming about things to come.  Once she was out at a store, she saw this little Froggy.  She fell in love with it and bought it.  Camden has slept with it in his crib right from the beginning.  He loves his Froggy!

Time to hit the showers!

This little guy loves playing in the shower!  He did not want to get out at all despite the fact that his fingers were getting all pruny...

Buddha Belly

Camden's cousin saw him rubbing his belly so she went over to him and lifted his shirt to see what he seemed to be so proud of!

Next will be marathons

Walking!! from Lorna King on Vimeo.

Here it is, folks.  Proof that Camden walking all around now.  He took his first few steps by himself early last week and by the weekend, he was ALL OVER the place.  There is no stopping him now!  (so very helpful to a Mommy and Daddy trying to unpack moving boxes everywhere, right?)

It never changes

When we were young parents, both Papa and I would eventually put one of our t-shirts on our kids just to see how silly they looked walking around in them.  This past weekend, Papa did it again by putting an "Old Guys Rule" shirt on Camden.  And he did look silly.  Again.  Still works.
